Pattern and colour have long fascinated me and
framed my perspective. My figurative landscape series is a synthesis and
juxtaposition; portraying the beauty of rural Ontario
through a ‘fashion lens’ of the female form - as contemporary Mother
Nature.
I paint what I see and hopefully you will add
yourself to my work by the way you see it and the experiences you bring
to it.
My work is the synthesis of my life; my home, my
travels, my love of cloth and costume. The Mulmur Hills have made a
permanent impact on my work; it's grand vistas and sheltered valleys,
the quality of the light and the warmth of the people."
Sandi has studied at Sheridan College, OCAD,
Toronto School of Art and
Haliburton School of the Arts and the Koffler centre. She resides in
Toronto and Mulmur with her family.
Visit her modern studio to enjoy
an incredible view.
