Moira studied Still Photography at Ryerson and Fine Art at Central Technical School Adult Art Program. Her career started three decades ago custom printing photographs for commercial and fine art clients. She has developed a fine tuned visual sensibility for composition, form and colour. Moira's company , Mac Photographics enjoyed a long standing business relationship with The Hockey Hall of Fame, managing the production of over 1000 prints from the hockey archives displayed throughout the Roger’s Centre. She has had many opportunities to work on projects with established artists including Edward Burtynsky. Moira also volunteers to lend her expertise to humanitarian efforts such as Operation Photo Rescue. During recent years she has been dedicated to producing her own fine art projects.
‘I’m a visual person and like to express myself to others in terms of how I see the world by photographing everyday subjects easily overlooked in our routines and journeys through nature and community life. Making photographs is my way of connecting with others and asking them to contemplate the world around them’.
